The girls are off today and tomorrow, which means I am too! In past years we’ve taken trips for this break, it’s a great time to get away as a family. This year the plan was to go to New York, but that trip just never came together. At this point I’m happy we didn’t have it planned. I can’t imagine trying to plan that on top of everything else.
I feel like September and October have been filled with house stuff and softball. I haven’t baked like I wanted to, and I haven’t cooked like I wanted to. It’s all happening over the next four days. We have a few new house shopping trips planned, and some bowling with friends, but mostly it’s going to be baking and packing and laundry and packing and cooking and packing around here. I’m oddly excited to just be home and get things knocked off my to do list.
With the caveat that surely there will be at least one showing a day at the worst possible time. That’s been happening a lot lately and is also why my to do list is as long as it is.
