The Munchkins

Life with identical twins

A day of rest

on November 19, 2012

Saturday we headed out to my brother’s almost complete house to help them clean all of the cabinetry before move in day (hopefully) this week. It was perfect because I was exhausted from sleeping horribly on Saturday. I knew we needed other people around us or the girls and I would be arguing all day. Cousins are perfect for that! After dance and some lunch, the girls ran all over the house and the lot playing. They were exhausted and hungry by the time we left.

It was bad timing all around. They were too hungry to really eat when we got home, which meant they were super hungry when they woke up Sunday morning. So hungry they didn’t think they could actually eat. I know this hungry, so I tried to get them to eat little bites and drink some juice, knowing that is the gateway to eating more later. They did, and eventually they recovered, but it ditched our plans for the entire day. No Farmer’s Market, no church, no grocery shopping. Oh well. A day of rest was clearly what we needed, so that’s what we did.

Puzzles. Lots of puzzles. They are absolutely our go to indoor activity right now.

I love it because it’s a separate but together activity. Everyone works on a puzzle, but we’re still altogether. And for once, I was on FIRE! I am usually the one hunting and pecking but yesterday the pieces just came to me! It was amazing. And if you’ve ever been schooled in puzzles by your 4-year-olds, you’ll understand how happy this made me. I’ve still got it.

I think these are my favorite indoor photos of yours because the lighting is great, focus is great, and color is great!
