Last year we were inundated with toys after their birthday parties. It was overwhelming. We had no room, and there were toys the girls didn’t play with for six months or more. This year, they have played with every present they’ve gotten. I will never again do a huge friend party unless I find a good way to do a no present rule. Next year I think we’ll do one or two school friends, a few neighborhood friends, and their cousins. Small.

One more sleep until vacation. With a cold front over the east coast, Florida is set to be cool the entire week we’re there. I’ve made my peace with it. I’m a heat girl and my preference would be 85 and hot, but we will make do and we’ll have fun one way or another. It may mean less pool time and more outings, but that’s fine.

Delaney has a little bit of a cold right now. Nothing terrible, but enough to make her voice froggy by the evening. It’s kind of adorable.
