You know what is awesome? Delaney has been asking for bunk beds, when she didn’t even know what they were! We were looking online last night and when I showed her she was very surprised, although also excited. Of course, she’ll get the top bunk. And she wants a trundle bed underneath, she’s already planning out the sleepovers.
Lucy is healing very well. Her stitches came out on Tuesday and they told me her incision just looked so, so good. They claimed it was great home care, but I think the majority of the healing was because Lucy is old and sleeps all the time. Also, I never put the cone on her after those first few days, and she never once tried to lick her incision. Twice she tried to scratch it, but that was it. She just left it alone. So if you too get yelled at for not using the cone on your old, anxious dog, just know that not every dog bothers things.
Also, we now have HD tv! My parents bought us a new tv for Christmas, but being the non-tv person that I am, I had no HD … anything. Due to shenanigans with Direct TV (who tried to woo me with low monthly rates, but then couldn’t install anything due to too many trees). I called the cable company and said I was leaving, so they lowered my rate to an amount that surprised even me, and said I just needed an HD box, which was an extra $1 per month. Who knew?! Not me! And now to figure out these crazy HD channel numbers. I can’t find a damn thing.

Oh hey, I forgot to mention on the bunk bed thing…. take them to a store and let them try them out!!! When we took Alex, he was too scared to sleep on the top. He is still too scared to sleep on the top. He talked a big game before he was actually in the bunks.
Somewhat helpful for the HD channels – starting with 802, they mirror the regular cable channel #s at least through NBC (811). My next recommendation is to program favorites, as I never can remember where everything is!
