Caden – Mom, I heard a creepy noise. What was it?

Me – It’s the dog. (this is precisely why I have pets, all creepy noises at night can be attributed to them)

Caden – Are skeletons real?

Me – Well, yes. We all have skeletons in our bodies, but plain skeletons cannot get up and walk around.

Caden – Are zombies real?

Me – No.

Caden – Are monsters real?

Me – No.

Caden – Okay.
